Tap Room

Tap Room Hours

  • Sun: 11AM-8PM

One of life’s great pleasures is drinking beer at the place it is brewed. And we’re prepared to pleasure you!

Have a pint. Have a party. Take a swim in one of our brew tanks! (okay one of these things is not true). We’ve got a carnival worth of cool merch. And now we can sell Beer-To-Go so you will certainly take home something special.

Wait, we haven’t even talked about the beer?!? All of our core beers are on tap, plus seasonals, big bottles from our Killer Strains series and every week there are new RAD Lab beers you’ll only find at the taproom. Oh, and we also have wine and cider! Come on by, there’s always a party at ABW.

We’re committed to creating a safe, welcoming, harassment-free environment for everyone who walks through our doors. For more information about the behavior we expect from our employees and guests, please check out our Code of Conduct.

Exclusives

Collab

Drinking good beer with good friends is the best. You laugh, you cry, you play the finger circle game (made you look. PUNCH) When we drink with other brewers we can’t help but come up with ideas and that’s the beauty of collaborations. We get to brew beers alongside our buddies and make something totally unique that everyone can enjoy. It’s given us the chance to brew alongside some of our idols like Doug (f-ing) O’Dell (LINK TO VIDEO?) and New Belgium (LINK TO VIDEO?) and just some of our favorite people like Sun King (LINK TO VIDEO?).

It’s an integral part of any active brewery and one of our favorite things to do. These are always super limited releases so if you see one on the big board make sure you act quick! Like a great conversation it’s over before you know it.

RAD Labs

R and D! This is our drink-u-bator. Our playground. Our sex machine. It’s a 7-barrel pilot system where we can experiment without having to brew a whole 90-barrel batch. And everyone in the brewery gets a crack at making a beer on it. RAD Labs is rolling all year round so there is always something RADically new in the taproom. It leads to some incredible and incredibly-limited beers. So come to the tap room if you want something totally rad that you can’t get anywhere else. And, as a bonus, you get to see how bad our beer puns get.

Killer Strains

Yes mommy, monsters are real. They are mutations, permutations and twice-removed relations made entirely of beer imaginations. They are wine barrel-aged sours and bourbon barrelled Sputnik and tequila barrel behemoths with a dash of lime. They are something to behold. And even better, to drink. For months – even years – these wild things are making magic in oaken darkness. And then the day comes when they meet the world. That’s the day you want to be here.

Hoppy Pale Ale

Flavor Country

5.9%

ABV

More Info

When we began in 2011 it was impossible to brew this Hoppy Pale Ale. The ingredients weren’t available and the science didn’t exist. Oil rich lupulin powder was just a dream. It brings intense flavor but doesn’t linger, drinks like a hop forward pale ale but doesn’t blow you up and every sip leaves you craving more. It’s so special we had to invent a whole new country to explain it. Welcome.

Peacemaker was the very first beer we decided to brew. It’s balanced, refreshing, and very sessionable. Peacemaker is simple, but we take it very seriously — a bold and clean beer with nothing to hide behind. It’s the beer we drink the most at the brewery. And at home. And on the river. When you have a cold, bright, well-balanced beer like Peacemaker on hand, anytime is a good time to enjoy it.

About Seasonals

Limited Release

Who knew Austin had so many seasons? Spring. DAMN, Spring is Hot. Summer. Second Summer. Kill Me Summer. Seriously? Almost Winter. Wait, Was That Winter? Spring. Hot Spring. Well, we’ve got something special for every one of them. They only last a limited time so get ‘em while they’re hot and drink ‘em while they’re cold.

Russian Imperial Coffee Oatmeal Stout

Sputnik

8.5%

ABV

More Info

Oats. Cuvee Coffee. Alcohol. And we have liftoff! Like the sight of a comet, the appearance of Sputnik has the locals thanking the brewing gods. As Will says, “we get all science on this shit.” He has developed a proprietary way to introduce the coffee into the beer. We’ve seen it happen and we know a stopwatch and monocle are involved. What happens is it opens up the aromatics without adding any harshness. You get an intense coffee aroma and bold flavor that perfectly compliments the silky oats and high alcohol. It will take your taste buds to orbit.

More Info

As part of our ABW Pilot Program, every Beerworker gets the chance to pilot our private bi-plane. Whaaat? No. We have robots for that. Actually they get to make their own beer on our seven-barrel pilot system - It’s called RAD Labs for Research and Development. That’s how Bloodwork began - with Nick Pratt and a citrusy dream. It was only available in our taproom but was in such high demand it has become our first year-round seasonal. It’s the Sicilain blood oranges added during fermentation that make this a citrus symphony for the senses.

Belgian-style Golden Strong Ale

Gold Fist

9.0%

ABV

More Info

This Belgian-style Golden Ale is Will’s favorite style to make. It’s also Will’s last name. William Golden Ale. True fact. It’s fermented with an old school Belgian yeast strain that produces a crazy amount of esters so it smells like sunshine. The color shines like gold. The finish is very dry like a champagne. It’s strong and delicate at the same time. While you are admiring the strong aromatics and classy finish it’s quietly punching you in the back of the head.

Can-tina

Good Beer Deserves Good Food

Serving Lunch and Dinner Every Dang Day

We want to guarantee the best food every single day at our taproom. So instead of relying on a rotating caravan of food trucks we grabbed the burger by the horns and took the queso into our own hands.

Fresh, local, and open for lunch and dinner every damn day. Can-tina may be on wheels but it’s not leaving the grounds for any festival, it’s ours, it’s delicious and it’s only available at Austin Beerworks.
