Beginner workshops are perfect for you to grab your friends, grab a drink and come make tiny trees! We’re bringing the awesome art of bonsai out of the hedged in gardens and into the streets! Or at least into your favorite bars/breweries/pubs. Bonsai Bar is a night of fun you don’t want to miss. Learn the fundamental skills and techniques behind the art of bonsai while enjoying a night out with friends! Our teachers will introduce core concepts and guide your experience as you pot, prune, and design your very own bonsai tree!

ACTIVITIES
All Night: Live Art Showcase
Watch artists who are passionate about all things fungi, use natural, upcycled, reused, and recycled materials to produce their art that will be displayed at the conference and raffled to raise money for mycology education.
All Night: Mushroom Market
Shop for unique mushroom-based products, from supplements and grow kits to eco-friendly materials and handmade goods, offered by local and national vendors.
5 PM: Mushroom Collection for DNA Research
Join us for a guided mushroom walk to support fungal DNA research, where participants will learn to document specimens using iNaturalist and contribute to North America's mycological knowledge. The specimens collected will be sequenced and featured at a DNA workshop at the conference.
6 PM: Lo-tek Mushroom Cultivation Workshop

8 PM: UV Night Walk
Explore the nocturnal ecosystem of the disc golf course (ABW is on 64 acres along Walnut Creek) with UV flashlights and cameras to look for mushrooms, night pollinators, birds, glowing plants, lichens and more. Get creative with glowing outfits and face paint. We are teaming up with the amazing people at Austin Wildlife Rescue for a fundraiser trivia night (again).
The trivia will be wildlife and nature themed with 3 rounds of 10 questions! Winner will receive a prize form us!
Austin Beerworks will be donated a $1 from every beer sold that day back to Austin Wild Rescue!
Oh, and there might be some special guests appearances from AWR's animal ambassadors.

5k Fun Run x Austin Beerworks | Part of the 2024 Texas Brewery Running Series
Join us for a fun-filled day of running, beer, and good vibes at Austin Beerworks - Burnet Rd.
Lace up your running shoes - we've mapped out a 5k-ish course that starts and ends at this awesome taproom in N Austin. Run, walk or jog before celebrating with a locally-brewed craft beverage at the finish line.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to stay active, this event is fun for all. The 5k course will take you through scenic routes, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings while getting your heart pumping.
After crossing the finish line, reward yourself with a well-deserved pint of craft beer from Austin Beerworks. Nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment and the taste of a refreshing brew!
So gather your friends and come join us at Austin Beerworks on April 19. It's going to be a day filled with beer run fun. See you there!
This event is part of our 2025 Texas Brewery Running Series Season

Our mission is to be active, have fun and give back. A portion of all proceeds from our events supports local nonprofits - over $500k raised to date! This event will add to that tally by donating 10% to local organizations like: Central TX Food Bank. So not only do you get to enjoy some healthy activity and great, local beer - you are helping us support local organizations that do important work in our community.

Important details:
- This is an untimed, fun-run. All levels of walkers, runners and joggers are welcome.
- This is an open course, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
- We create each route to start and end at the brewery and to show off the surrounding neighborhood. The course will be marked with arrows to help you know where to go.
- You must bring a valid ID or driver's license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. Registered, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage.
- Our events are rain or shine! If conditions become unsafe to run, we will still hang out and drink beer.
- There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.
- Dogs and strollers are welcome on the course, with care and caution. Please remember - you are running at your own risk on city sidewalks / streets / trails, which might not be suitable for your 4-legged and /or pint size running buddies. You will also want to check with the brewery to make sure you can abide by their dog / underage policies. Please make the best decision possible for your crew.
- Please drink responsibly. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers.

The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning course is designed to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies for adults, children, and infants. This course teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person when minutes matter, and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.
