Come share a beer with the folks who brew it

With regular taproom hours & our very own food truck, we've always got good things going down at brewery. This is the place to find a good excuse to come by and grab a cold beer any day of the week.

Lunar New Year Celebration & Eastern Philosophy: A Kaiju Brew release party
11am-6pm

Join us as we celebrate the 2022 Lunar New Year, with the release of a collaboration brew with Chris from Kaiju Cut + Sew benefitting Stop AAPI Hate.

This year is the year of the Tiger, which officially kicks off on February 1st, but we are starting a few days early to bring you an amazing launch event!

Austin Beerworks co-owner and Director of Brewing, Will Golden, and Kaiju Cut + Sew owner & founder, Chris Gomez, have known each other a couple years through supporting each other’s businesses. The idea to collaborate on a beer to further promote the message of Stop AAPI Hate seemed fitting.

Will and Chris worked together to create a jasmine dragon pearl tea-infused strong lager made to be poured over ice. The beer is named "Eastern Philosophy: A Kaiju Brew". The label was designed by Alana Louise Lyons and features both her own grandmother and Chris’s mother, using photos from when they received their natural U.S. Citizenship.

The Austin Flea will feature 20+ handmade and vintage artists with an extra emphasis on Asian vendors. The Texas Brewery Running Series will host their registration kick-off leisure run at 10:30am and the Texas Dragon/Lion Dance Team will perform at 12pm with both a Lion and a Dragon dance, showing off brand new gear, as well as a Korean Traditional dance performed by Lee Young at 12:30pm.

The ABW Cantina will offer an Asian inspired menu curated by Head Chef, Enma Lopez, and The Rice is Right food truck will be onsite hosted by owner, Sang Wang.

The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce will be on-site to share information - and you can learn more at the link below.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Eastern Philosophy: A Kaiju Brew, Kaiju Cut and Sew sales, and proceeds from the Texas Brewery Running Series registrants from the January 30th event will be donated to Stop AAPI Hate.
